2026 Calves – S&S Miniature Highlands

Planning for Our 2026 Calving Season

Tank’s first calves exceeded our expectations, and we were beyond excited to see all those great qualities he possesses passed down to his offspring.
For 2026, we’ve added several additional sires thru the ai process to further diversify and strengthen our breeding program.

Our breeding program is being intentionally refined with a focus on higher-percentage Highland and High Park genetics. We believe in quality over quantity and are committed to retaining only our top mamas and breeding stock as we continue building a more consistent, purpose-driven herd.

JD

JD is our first calf of the year and arrived about a month earlier than we expected! His mom Maddie was bred before we got him so we can’t take credit for this little dude but we were not disappointed!

Bodhi

Bodhi is Blitz’s first calf and an exact replica of her! He is Chondro negative and naturally small. Mom is only about 38 inches tall and this Tank Baby should stay within the mini size range.

Zane

This little man was born on the saddest day in our ranching life. We lost our little mini Hereford mom and her calf during labor. We named this little dude Zane which means “gift from God” and it fits him perfectly.

Fiona

This little girl is Fancy’s 2026 calf and she is the perfect teddy bear! And she is lucky enough to get to stay in Montana after leaving our ranch.

Opal

Little Opal is darling. Her momma came to us this spring already bred and I was sure she was chondro negative, but now a few months later she has all but stopped growing and I will have to have her tested. If she is positive she will be headed to California to a non profit childrens farm.

Duke

Duke is Lollies newest calf… she and Tank have never disappointed! Yellow and chondro positive…. it doesn’t get much better than this!

Levy

Levy is Ginger’s calf and he was born unassisted while I was out of town. Got to Love when that happens.

Cassie

Can you say perfection? This little girl is a granddaughter of the famous Silver Splendor and was spoken for just days after she was born. She is headed to Ohio to a very special non profit farm called Tiny Hooves Farm in honor of a little girl who died of Cancer. She will be a perfect fit there.

Sage

Little Sage is Scarlet’s Calf and she is everything teeny tiny. Sage is the littlest calf Scarlet has had so far and so sweet!
